Taylor + Abbey | Greenbrier Wedding Day

For the last year, we have been chatting with Abbey on the phone about her upcoming wedding day. We could tell how sweet she was just from our short conversations, but from the moment we met her on her wedding day, to the end of the night, we knew we were going to love her!

We met Taylor and his groomsmen at the Golf Club to start off the day. Even with temperatures well into the 80’s, he didn’t complain about being outside in a tux for photos. We are always impressed with that, haha! After we finished up with the guys, we headed to meet Abbey + photograph her getting into her dress. Y’all, this dress was GORGEOUS! We couldn’t get over how beautiful it was OR how stunning Abbey looked in it!

Then, it was time for one of the most anticipated parts of every wedding day—the first time the groom gets to see his bride.

Abbey + Taylor had their first look on the terrace of the North entrance of the resort—and HOLY.. you can’t ask for a more photogenic backdrop. Abbey’s dad walked her through the North Parlor to her groom—who met her with a generous smile. It was such a sweet moment, you could see how much these two adore each other. Their family watched it all unfold from inside the North Parlor; there were definitely some tears shed + lots of smiles.

Then it was time. On the 17thof August at 5:30 in the afternoon, Taylor + Abbey said, “I Do.” Their family + friends gathered from all over the country in the stunning chapel to celebrate this momentous day. After the ceremony ended, they rode off in the same car Abbey’s grandmother drove away in on her wedding day. It was quite the exit!

We stole them for a few more portraits around the resort grounds before sending them off to their party. The rest of the night was filled with joy, love + celebration. They had an incredible band that kept things fun + the dance floor full! The night ended with confetti (so fun!) + the classic, “Country Roads.”

Mr. + Mrs. Barnett—Congratulations! Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your special day. We hope you all will treasure these photos for the many years to come. We wish you both all the happiness in the world!

With love, Lily + Elyse
