Heather + Sam | Wedding Day

Heather + Sam

AHHH! We have been SO excited about this wedding for the past year! Heather is a long-time friend of ours. It is always extra special to be able to photograph your childhood friends wedding day! Plus, they hired Morgan Scott Films, who we’ve loved since we met Elijah and his team back in 2016 at David + Devin Hess’ wedding! We had the sweet opportunity to grab coffee before the wedding with Elijah + Gabe, just to catch up. It was the best start to that Saturday!

They got married on July 14th at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. So many of our dear friends were at this wedding or in the wedding party. So, we had the best time hugging + catching up with old friends! Heather + Sam are some of the most kind, selfless, genuine people you will ever meet and their wedding day was no different. They were both so relaxed + smiling all day.

In true Heather fashion, she made lots of jokes while getting ready. But, when she put the finishing touches on her dress + showed her bridesmaids, there were very few dry eyes in that room (and her photographers were definitely crying…)!

Heather + Sam did a prayer (without seeing each other) before the ceremony + prayed the sweetest blessing over each other + their marriage. Again, her photographers were crying.. ha.

Their ceremony was beautiful. Sam walked out to the Star Wars theme song, which was so fun! We love when our couples have unique pieces for their wedding that won’t easily be forgotten. The ceremony started with worship, Pastor Mark shared a beautiful description of marriage, + they exchanged hand-written vows. It was so sweet.

Their portrait time fell just a little before golden hour but we were able to get some photos of the gorgeous, GLOWY light. We were both so giddy the whole time we did their couple portraits. We just love them so much!

Sam + Heather, we could write all day about how much we love you all + how much we loved your day. You all have something extraordinary + you could feel it the air the entire day. We pray you have many happy years together. Thank you for giving us the special honor of photographing your wedding day. Thankful to know you. Thankful to call you friends.

With love,

Lily + Elyse
